The final design scheme is ingrained with the company’s core health and safety message.
The company wanted to open new offices at the Quorum in central Bristol, and instructed Amarelle to design a friendly, bright and welcoming workspace fitting in with Alstom’s Designing Fluidity philosophy.
Safety is a key issue in the rail industry and our client wanted to ensure that the key life-saving rules were referenced throughout the space. In addition to this, a stand up area was created within the office where the daily safety briefing can take place. Glass writable walls were installed behind and around the TV screen to facilitate note taking or brainstorming sessions. A feature carpet detail and drop bulkhead with bespoke digital print wallpaper helped to create a clever zone for staff members to gather, with inset LED spotlights.
Though no formal reception was needed, there was a clear need to delineate the waiting area with soft seating and mood lighting. Further carpet details were incorporated into the bespoke built locker area and upholstered nook for short one-to-one meetings.
A number of private meeting rooms and offices were created with full height glazing and doors set into a bulkhead feature. These presented more branding opportunities with full height colour manifestation applied incorporating key company value messages. Meeting rooms were equipped with full AV facilities and blackout blinds to assist with company presentations.
Clean, fresh and modern breakout facilities were created to ensure that there was sufficient space for staff to get away from their desks and to encourage a healthy working environment.
