The intention was to keep the entire scheme as sustainable as possible using natural materials, a neutral palette consisting of muted brand colours and finishes in wood, metal and clay were complimented with a planting scheme to bring the outside in.
The company were moving from a large Georgian building just outside Bath, which operated as a serviced office complex. While both the house and grounds were suitably grand the difficulty of creating a collaborative working environment into a property more suited to formal domestic living was evident.
Amarelle were tasked with creating a bright, light and modern open-plan office space, which provided working areas for team collaboration and supported solo working by providing independent working areas. In order to make the space work as hard as possible for the Chippenham team we proposed a scheme that offered multi-purpose spaces. The large boardroom offered private meeting space, but when not required, an acoustic folding wall to one end opened up to the tea-point and breakout area creating a large presentation space where the entire company could gather for team meetings or company events.
The breakout space itself features a bespoke kitchen, designed and created in-house by the Amarelle design team, and installed by our specialist joinery contractors. This area also serves as a ‘third space’ for team meetings away from the desk working area.
