Vantage Point is located on a business park near Exeter and comprises three floors of office space. Amarelle were asked by the building’s managing agent to upgrade the reception and common areas to create a fresh, inviting and modern space for the building occupants.

The existing spaces were quite dated and in need of a refresh so Amarelle were tasked with modernising these areas.

Hidden behind the timber panelling is a small kitchen which allows the receptionist to offer hot and cold drinks to visitors.

We chose a warm grey-coloured carpet for the first and second floor common areas and re-decorated brightly coloured walls in white for a clean and professional look and feel. We replicated this colour palette in the toilets to compliment the existing IPS panelling, replaced brightly coloured tiles with a more muted selection of grey tiles across the walls and floors and then re-decorated in white to complete the transformation.

The eye-catching electric blue table and stools gives both visitors and building occupants somewhere to sit, somewhere to charge their electronics and adds a vibrancy to the space.

We continued the colour theme through to the main reception area and contrasted the grey floor tiles against a bold design of timber panels running the length of the back wall and across the ceiling to create a classic, sleek look. Along with the layout design of the floor tiles and the integrated floor lighting, this creates a focal point in the space and draws the eye to the timber reception desk. A multi-level ceiling adds to this effect. Striking metal signage is clearly visible against the timber and the use of moss within with signage is a nod to biophilic design and introduces greenery to the reception area.

“We now have a good product, that sets our building apart from the competition. First impressions into the building are great and have contributed to gathering marketing interest for the vacant spaces.” - Project Manager, Summerfield Developments.
